The term “Sauna” comes from the Finnish language and, loosely translated, means “bath of sweat.” Saunas are used worldwide to improve health, as well as for enjoyment and relaxation.
Today, the term “sauna” refers to a room with a temperature ranging from 70–100°C. The human body can tolerate such high temperatures thanks to the low level of air humidity.
As a rule, the humidity level should not exceed 10%. The humidity can be increased by pouring water over the heated stones.
An old Finnish proverb says, “Anyone who can walk can use the sauna.” Based on this saying, sauna use is recommended for everyone.

Built-in saunas
For built-in saunas, the following steps are required:
- Prepare a room made of solid material, with specific dimensions (responsibility of the client).
- Install a ventilation opening and electrical wiring in the designated location, in coordination with the contractor (responsibility of the client).
- The contractor carries out the sauna installation on-site.
- Interior walls are covered with materials specifically designed for sauna construction.
Prefabricated / Modular Saunas
Prefabricated / Modular Saunas refer to the following:
- The sauna is fully manufactured in the workshop.
- Prefabricated sandwich-panel walls are created, which can be assembled on-site within a few hours in the room designated for the sauna.
Advantage of these saunas: If needed, they can be relocated to another place.
